A Typical Day at Camp

7:30 a.m. Wake Up Bell
Normally, this would be way too early, but knowing that every day at camp is a dynamic adventure full of exciting programs, you're glad it's time to start the day. (Okay, sometimes it still feels early…but there IS a great day ahead of you).
8:00 a.m. Breakfast
You and your cabin-mates make your way to the beautiful new Dining Hall to take in that all-important first meal of the day. You'll need your energy, so dig in to those delicious pancakes, toast and jam, cereal, fruit, eggs, muffins…you get the idea…the food is great.
9:30 a.m. BOSS Games
Yep, it's time to get moving. The entire camp is into their BOSS (Battle of Superfit Superstars) teams and ready to take on the challenges. Crazy Relays might be in store for the fantastic teams today. Who'll take the most points this morning? Will it be the Bodacious Blue Barracuda's? The Ravishing Red Rockets? The Mellow Yellow Banana Peels? The Lean Green Winning Machine? Or the Oddish Original Orange Peels?
10:15 a.m. Skills and Thrills
Here's your chance to learn some really neat stuff in your choice of skill area. Imagine that. It's possible to have fun and learn something at the same time (Who knew?) Take your pick of Swimming, Canoeing, Camping Skills, Drama, Sports, Arts and Crafts, and a few others too exciting to mention here. The counselors are proud to teach you some of the great skills they've learned over the years.
11:15 a.m. Campers Choice
Are you sweating from your Soccer match at Skills and Thrills? Then why not find a buddy and head down for a swim…Are you a bit tired from your exciting Canoeing lesson? Then why not grab a comic book and read under a tree at Shade Lounge? …Perhaps you've been looking forward to making one of those cool birdhouses you've seen? Head on over to Arts and Crafts…These are only a couple of the many options. There's plenty of great choices, because it's Free Time.
12:30 p.m. Lunchtime
More great food, cause you've worked up an appetite, and when your table is done eating, some cheering and camp songs are always welcome, creating a festive atmosphere in the Dining Hall. Fill your stomach with nutrition and fill the camp with song and spirit.
1:30 p.m. Rest and Relaxation
This is the quiet time of the day, to let everyone "recharge their battery"; some fun stuff during rest period includes checkers, cards, reading, board games, writing letters, or even taking a power nap!
2:00 p.m. All Camp Activity
It's a good thing you got your rest, cause it's time to get moving again. The whole camp is in on these games. What will it be today? Animal Safari…Capture the Flag…Water Olympics…Kick the Can…Triad Soccer…the possibilities are endless, but one thing's for sure, it's going to be a great time for all.
3:30 p.m. Campers Choice
If you went for a swim at the morning Free Time, maybe you'd like to try some crafts this time…if you filled your first free time with sports in the ballfield, maybe some canoeing is of interest to you. The choice is yours, and if you really tired yourself out during the All Camp Activity, you could even head over to relax at the Katimivik and watch folks earn "Cool Points".
5:30 p.m. Dinner
See Breakfast and Lunch (Great Food surrounded by Great Friends)
7:00 p.m. All Camp Activity
This is the big finale to the day. Could be a fantastic Campfire with songs, skits, and jokes…could be Airbands where some true talent (sometimes hilarious) will be on display…could be All Camp Clue, where you'll need teamwork and quick thinking to win…could be Vegas Night with tons of fun stations…could be…well, you get the idea. This is the best way to cap off another superb day at Camp Smitty.
9:15 p.m. Lights Out
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ…You weren't tired, were you?
